THE DISTANCES AT WHICH A PEDESTRIAN CAN BE SEEN IN THE DARK
With main beam:
A pedestrian with a reflector can be seen at a distance of about 300 m
without a reflectors at a distance of max. 100 m, situation changes when there is
                on coming traffic.

With dipped beam:
With a reflector at a distance of about 150 m.
                        Without a reflector only 20-40 m.

There is a time gap between seeing and reacting!

If driving at 80 km/h the car moves 22 m in one second, which gives the driver hardly no time to react.

When using a reflector the driver has 5 seconds more time to react and act!
